Imagine if the train in the bird world was actually a train driving around a movie set that you could board? And the rest was a large segmented area like Universal studios.īut a Hat in Time does ooze charm, it really excells there. I really wish they'd given us 4 or 5 open world's how the Mario games work. The bird world was too broken up for my tastes. I wasn't a fan of Hat in Times approach to breaking up world's, especially the first which essentially had you play the same world over and over again. ![]() ![]() What I think Mario gets right, and got right in SM64 as well, is the approach to mission/level design.
